Process mining adds real value to S/4HANA transformations

To get the most from their S/4HANA transformation, companies must design their processes to align with SAP best practices. Our white paper shows how process mining helps to identify and eliminate pain points and streamline their transformation.

Switching from SAP legacy systems, such as from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA, remains a significant challenge for many companies. There are numerous obstacles in the transformation process, from data migration to adapting application programming interfaces and integration into the existing IT landscape. At the same time, the pressure increases as the end of support for legacy systems in 2030 approaches. On top of this demanding array of tasks, companies must redesign many business processes.

However, those that analyse their process landscapes in advance using process mining can simplify their transformation considerably. Companies that reliably identify potential pain points, such as redundant process variants, bottlenecks, or a lack of automation, can optimally align their processes with the new ERP technology. In our whitepaper, we show what matters in practice – and how one of our customers improved their process landscape with this specific approach.

Process mining has the valuable potential to reduce the complexity of a SAP S/4HANA transformation. Only those who consistently seize such opportunities will benefit from a perfectly aligned process and technology landscape during their transformation.
